Maritime university to be set up in Ctg
The government is going to set up a maritime university in Chittagong.
The university--Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Maritime University-- will be established on the campus of the Bangladesh Marine Academy at Anwara in the port city.
To this end, the education ministry finalised a draft of the specialised university at an inter-ministerial meeting on Thursday.
The ministry considers establishing the university important especially in the perspective of the landmark verdict that upheld Bangladesh's claim to the Bay of Bengal.
