5 die in road accidents
Five people were killed and 13 others injured in road accidents in Chittagong, Sirajganj, Natore, Gaibandha and Jamalpur on Thursday and yesterday.
Our Chittagong correspondent reports, Md Muslem Uddin, 28, a teacher at Pinnacle Chartered College, was killed on the spot when a truck hit his motorcycle at Agrabad Access Road around 5:30pm on Thursday.
In another incident, three people, including two members of Ansar Battalions, were injured as a bus hit an auto-tempo in Khulshi area in the Chittagong city yesterday.
The victims are Ansar members Aksir Mia, Billal Hossain and auto-tempo driver Arif.
Our Sirajganj Correspondent reports, a man was killed and three people were injured as a bus hit a rickshaw van in Mulibari area on western approach road of Bangabandhu Bridge in Sirajganj yesterday.
Rickshaw van peddler, Abdus Samad, 70, died instantly.
Our Natore correspondent reports, one Khayer Uddin, 62, of Gangarampur village in Gurudaspur upazila, was killed when a bus hit him in Bhabaniganj Intersection area in Natore on Thursday.
Our Gaibandha correspondent reports, a baby girl was crushed under a machine-run three-wheeler, Nasiman, in Ulipur area in Gobindaganj upazila yesterday.
The victim is Bithi, 3, a daughter of Belal Hossain of the area.
Jamalpur correspondent adds, a man was killed and seven others were injured in a collision between two human haulers at Maderganj upazila in the district yesterday noon.
Asad Tikader,40, son of Basir Tikader of village Madangupal of the upazila died on the way to a hospital.
