CU teacher, staff sacked
The authorities of Chittagong University (CU) yesterday sacked a teacher and another staff as they have been absent for a long time.
They are Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal, an associate professor of Institute of Marine Sciences and Fisheries; and Rezaul Karim, a peon of the Institute of Modern Languages.
CU Acting Registrar Prof Dr Mohammad Shafiul Alam said Kamal and Karim have remained absent since July 1, and January 19, 2011 respectively.
