Prof Samad appointed UITS VC
Dhaka University Professor Dr Muhammad Samad has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Information Technology and Sciences (UITS). President Zillur Rahman, chancellor of the university, appointed the DU teacher for next four years, said a press release on Saturday. Prior to the appointment, Dr Samad was the director at the Institute of Social Welfare and Research of Dhaka University. Dr Samad, also a well-known poet, was a fellow professor of Winona State University of United States twice and has written and edited 10 books.
