Housewife killed in capital
A housewife was killed allegedly by her husband for dowry in the capital's Darussalam area on Monday night.
The deceased is Phulmala, 20, wife of Milon Miah, a butcher in Mirpur area.
Police recovered the victim's body from their house at the first colony in Mirpur Mazar road area around 9:00pm and sent it for autopsy yesterday morning.
Phulmala's family said her husband tried to hide the killing terming it a suicide.
Hazrat Billal, elder brother of Phulmala told The Daily Star that Milon used to beat her sister demanding money for dowry since their marriage four years ago.
