Bangladesh College-University Teacher Association, Chittagong General Secretary Uttam Chowdhury said, “The amount of money we get as house rent and medical allowance is very poor.” “We hope that the government would take steps to remove the existing disparity in allowances between government and non-government teachers in the country," he said. "If our demands were not met soon, we would go on indefinite strikes at educational institutions after Eid-ul-Fitr” he added.
