Journalist Md Badiuzzaman, who is suffering from oesophagus and stomach cancer, seeks financial aid from the well-off section of the society. Badiuzzaman, 44, is a former sub-editor of the daily Mukta Khabar and member of Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ). Doctors have suggested that he goes abroad for surgery, which will cost him Tk 20-25 lakh. But he has already spent all his savings for the costly treatment.
