Three bakeries fined in Ctg
A mobile court fined three bakeries Tk 1,30,000 for selling adulterated and date expired food items in Chittagong city yesterday.
The court led by Jubayer Ahmed, deputy director of Directorate of National Consumers Rights Protection in Chittagong, fined Jannat Bakery and Mayer Doa Bakery in Bibirhat Tk 40,000 each for processing food items in an unhygienic environment and selling them without expiry date tags.
The court also fined Asia Bakery in Nazirpara area Tk 50,000 for mixing textile colour in food items in addition to the charges mentioned above.
