Humayun Ahmed's last wish
We have learnt from local media that late litterateur Humayun Ahmed's last wish was to build a cancer hospital. His millions of readers can turn this dream into reality if help is sought from them in an organised way. But of course, somebody who is acceptable to all has to lead this huge campaign. We are confident that people will voluntarily contribute to this project. We have heard that his family members are planning to start this project. But people want to see no more family feud. We have known from a news report that Nobel laureate Prof Yunus has visited late Humayun's mother. About Humayun's last wish to build a cancer hospital, Prof Yunus said, “If I have any role in turning his dream into reality, I will gladly accept it.” I urge all the readers of Humayun Ahmed to be organised for starting the work of forming a committee in this regard and propose Prof Yunus to lead the project. We hope Humayun's dream would turn into reality under the leadership of Prof Yunus.
