May Humayun Ahmed rest in peace
Popular writer Humayun Ahmed's death has created a void in our literary world. He was versatile. Had he lived longer, our country would have been enriched by his contribution.
He breathed his last on July 19, 2012 and was buried at Nuhash Palli on July 21. Nuhash Palli was his dreamland. He was laid to rest at his favourite spot, under the shade of a lichi tree.
But the confusion over the issue of his burial site was very regrettable. We think a person should be laid to rest where he/she wishes. So, those who want to be buried at a particular place should clearly mention it to their close ones or even they could write it down. In that way unpleasant situation would not arise and one's near and dear ones will accept and honour one's wish and there will be no scope for misunderstanding.
