Yaba tablets seized in Ctg
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 6,800 pieces of Yaba tablets from South Jaliapara area of Teknaf upazila in Cox's Bazar yesterday.
BGB sources said they also seized an engine boat which was being used for smuggling the contraband items from Myanmar.
Lt Colonel Zahid Hasan, commanding officer of BGB 42 battalion, said they conducted a drive in Naf River in the area around 4.30pm and chased the boat.
The smugglers managed to flee away, he said adding that they were trying to find out the escaped people.
