BCL's atrocities

Two photographs published side by side on the back page of the DS dated Sept 13, unmistakably provide pictorial description of how ferocious are the rowdy the BCL cadres committing atrocities on DU and RU campuses recently. It is reported that the BCL men swooped on the JCD activists who were waiting to join party programmes and assaulted them in the most barbaric fashion! They mercilessly beat them up, kicked them as if the victims were some wretched animals and even stomped on their bodies! What an ugly demonstration of hatred and intolerance! BCL's atrocious behaviour towards its opponents and its own members during factional feuds have often resulted in violent clashes and bloodshed among the students on different campuses. But its nefarious activities are going on unabated. Why don't the ruling party bosses keep a tight rein on their unruly student front? Arrogant and foolhardy front leaders and activists have already caused an irreparable damage to AL's image. These are the student leaders who will be tomorrow's party leaders. If the student leaders' parochial, aggressive and intolerant mindset is not changed, democracy will be in jeopardy.
