Commendable job by RAB
While in a bus crossing the Malibagh rail gate near Malibagh DIT road, I noticed a RAB vehicle standing at a corner of that busy road. At first I thought it's negligence on part of the RAB personnel. They parked their vehicle almost in the middle of the road where there is always a tailback. When the bus I was travelling by was passing them, one of the RAB officials from the car signalled our bus driver to stop. I as well as all other passengers of the bus got annoyed as the driver had to park the bus behind their car. The man in black came to the gate of the bus and asked one of the staff of the bus to bring the papers needed for the enquiry. Not to waste the time of the passengers, he directed the driver to go forward and took with him only one staff of the bus.
Though there are hundreds of allegations against the black cops of human rights violations, some of their contributions are really praiseworthy. It's definitely a better idea to deploy RAB personnel on the important streets of Dhaka where drivers always ignore traffic rules and do not care the traffic police. Again, thanks to those RAB officers who care for the comfort of the public in general.
