Man killed over land dispute in Ctg

A man was killed and his brother injured in an attack by rivals over occupying lands in their village in Lohagara upazila yesterday. The deceased was Anwar Hossain, 26, of Sikdar Para village. His brother Delwar Hossain, 35, was inured in the incident. Anwar was attacked by a group led by Janu and Arif Friday night over a long standing dispute with Delwar-led group. The two groups make money by occupying hills and lands of the area, said police. During the attack, Janu and Arif's men hacked Anwar with sharp weapons. As Delwar came to his brother's rescue, they attacked him too. The injured were first rushed to the upazila health complex and then to Chittagong Medical College Hospital. Anwar died there early yesterday.
