EU to give more fund for victims of flood, landslides
The European Union will provide an additional four million euros for emergency assistance to the people of Bangladesh affected by monsoon floods and landslides.
Together with the additional funding announced yesterday, the total humanitarian contribution for Bangladesh by the European Commission this year stands at 18.65 million euros, said a press release.
The south-eastern part of the country was hit by floods between June and July this year. The EU aid is expected to reach over 2.5 lakh of the most vulnerable people.
