MP hurt in road crash
Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, the lawmaker of Noakhali- 4 constituency and general secretary of district unit Awami League, was injured in a motor crash at Subarnachar upazila yesterday.
Quoting witnesses, police said the lawmaker was returning to Char Jabbar from Char Wapda after attending mass contact. When he reached at Sultan Nagar area, a branch of tree fell on his motor cycle suddenly.
Losing control over the vehicle, Ekramul Karim fell down on the road. Locals rushed him to Noakhali Medical College and Hospital where he was undergoing treatment.
