Rape accused sent to jail in Sylhet
A man accused of raping two minor sisters was sent to jail yesterday in Dakshin Surma upazila of Sylhet.
Father of the victims filed the case last Tuesday, said Officer-in-Charge of Dakshin Surma Police station Md Nasir uddin, adding that the accused, Tera Miah, was arrested the same day.
The judicial magistrate's court sent him to jail after recording statements of the two victims.
According to the case statement, Tera Miah attacked the girls on September 27 and raped them.
The girls were admitted to Osmani Medical College Hospital for treatment.
