A case was filed against three railway policemen and two Ansars on Thursday in connection with attacking passengers of an intercity train at Kulaura Junction on September 27. The accused are Assistant Sub-Inspector Jamal Mazumder, constables -- Emdadul Haque and Alamgir Hossain -- and Ansars -- Shamim Miah and Azad Miah. Taking the case into cognisance, Judicial Magistrate Court-3 of Moulvibazar ordered the officer-in-charge of Kulaura Police Station to investigate. Sources said passengers of Chittagong-bound intercity train Udayan Express clashed with railway policemen and Ansars on September 27. The clash ensued when passengers asked why the law enforcers were checking for tickets instead of railway staff. Angered, police charged baton on them leaving 10 injured.
