New envoy to China appointed

The government has decided to appoint Muhammad Azizul Haque as the new ambassador of Bangladesh to China. He is currently serving as the ambassador to Greece. A career diplomat, Haque also served the Bangladesh Embassies in Sweden, Kuwait and Myanmar, and Bangladesh High Commissions in Canberra and London. He obtained BA (Honours) and Master degrees in English Literature from Dhaka University and is a BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre, said a foreign ministry press release. He also acquired a Diploma in International Economic Relations, International Law and Diplomacy from the Institute International d' Administration Publique in Paris and completed a course on French language from the Centre Audio-visual Des Langues Modernes at Vichy in France.
