Man dies as train runs him over
A man was killed as a train ran him over near Mulibari railway level crossing in sadar upazila of Sirajganj district on Monday.
The identity of the deceased, aged around 40, could not be known immediately.
Sirajganj GRP SI Nofil Uddin said the Lalmonirhat-bound intercity train, Lalmoni Express, from Dhaka crushed the man at about 3:00am while he was walking along the railway tracks, killing him instantly.
On information, the police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A case was lodged in this connection.
