Anti-smoking campaign at family level urged
Speakers at a meeting on Tuesday said awareness building against smoking should start at family level.
Every one person out of six in Bangladesh die because of smoking while around 12 lakh people face the risk of death every year due to it, they said.
Speakers said these while addressing a discussion meeting titled "Implementation of Tobacco Control Law at Public Places and Transports" organised by Dhaka Ahsania Mission at the local parliament member office in the capital's Khilgaon.
Dhaka Ahsania Mission President Kazi Rafiqul Alam chaired the meeting while Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP addressed it among others.
