Housewife found dead
Two months into marriage, a housewife was found hanged from the ceiling fan of her husband's house in Kalashil area of Sylhet city on Thursday.
The deceased was Nipa Rani Das, daughter of Police Inspector Jibon Krishna Das and a master's student of a private university.
Family sources said Nipa got married to Bhubon Joy Das two months ago.
Being informed, Nipa's mother Anjali Rani Dey rushed to Bhubon's residence on Thursday and found her daughter's body hanged from a ceiling fan there, they said. They said Bhubon used to torture Nipa and alleged that he had strangled her.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
