Missing man found dead in pond
Police recovered the body of a man from a pond in Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong district yesterday.
The victim was Abu Taher, 45, of Chiram in the upazila.
Taher had gone missing on Thursday night from his home, said police.
On information from the locals, police recovered the decomposed body at about 12:30pm.
Quoting Monwara Begum, the victim's wife, Sub-Inspector Nibash Chandra Bhattacharya said Taher was a drug addict and he might have drowned in the pond near their residence on his way home on the night.
