Missing father of fugitive accused returns
After being untraced for about 20 days, father of the lone fugitive accused in journalist couple Sagar-Runi murder case returned to his village home in Moulvibazar yesterday morning,.
The man Mokbul Hossain alias Kala Miah, 60, of Dohalia village in Barlekha upazila, runs a furniture shop.
Kala Miah said the unidentified armed men, who had taken him blind folded to a three- or four-storey building in an unknown place, left him in that way at a place near Bhairab on Dhaka-Sylhet highway on Wednesday midnight. Later, some locals helped him return to his home.
He further said they wanted to know the whereabouts of his son Humayun alias Enamul, the fugitive accused.
On September 27 morning, four unidentified persons picked Kala Miah in a microbus near his house and since then he had been untraced, according to family sources.
A general diary (GD) was filed with Barlekha police on Kala Miah's return.
