Man gets life for murder
A Pabna court on Thursday sentenced a man to life imprisonment on charge of killing a college girl.
Special Judge Amulla Kumar Sarker of Pabna special judge's court handed down the verdict.
The convict, Md Keru, 22, hails from Dathia-Koyrapara village.
Keru stabbed to death Rahima Khatun, student of Mulgram College, on April 30, 2007, said the case statement.
Earlier, Keru was punished, in a village meeting, for harassing Rahima. Incensed, he killed Rahima.
The court also fined him Tk 10,000.
