Stop display of indecent films or face action: Inu
The government will clamp-down on unlicensed cable TV operators and display of "uncensored and indecent" films on cable televisions if cable operators do not stop such practices immediately.
Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said this to leaders and representatives of Bangladesh Cable TV Owners' Association and Cable TV Operators' Association of Bangladesh at a meeting at his secretariat office yesterday.
Inu said there are specific allegations that a section of cable operators display indecent films late at night and operate foreign channels illegally.
