Woman 'commits suicide'
A woman allegedly committed suicide in the capital's Mirpur area yesterday.
The deceased identified as Bina Akthar, 18, of Sariakandi in Bogra, was a garment worker.
Bina's elder sister Sabina Yasmin, with whom she lived in a tin shed house at Section No-13 in the area, said Bina was found hanging with a scarf from the ceiling in the house at about 9:45am.
Kafrul Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif said they treated the incident as a case of suicide.
