Have dialogue to solve problems
Barrister Rafique urges AL, BNP chiefs
Noted jurist Rafique-ul Huq yesterday urged the two top political party chiefs to be respectful to each other and sit for dialogue to resolve the country's ongoing problems.
“Where I will go, you won't…They should change this mentality”, he said talking about BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina.
Huq was addressing a discussion on “Communal Harmony: Today's Bangladesh” organised by Saarc Cultural Society at Dhaka Reporters' Unity.
Regarding next election, he said it's not guaranteed that none but BNP or AL will only come to power. People want honest persons and will cast their vote accordingly.
He said BNP-Jamaat alliance may come to power but may not get the mandate of majority like the AL did.
