Banks will remain open today, tomorrow in Rangpur
All the state-owned and private commercial banks in Rangpur have been asked to keep open their branches today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday).
Bangladesh Bank yesterday issued a circular in this regard so that candidates of Rangpur City Corporation polls could open accounts and submit their security money.
The election to the newly formed city corporation is scheduled to be held on December 20.
