Stop to gate construction in DC Hill Park of Chittagong demanded
Speakers yesterday in Chittagong said they would go for tougher movement, against the deputy commissioner (DC) of the port city, to protest the "irregularities" happening in DC Hill Park.
A group of people under the banner of Samannita DC Hill Park Unnayan Parishad at a press conference in Chittagong Press Club said the DC has to stop the construction of a gate inside the park and demanded his removal.
They alleged DC's plan for the park would hamper the cultural activities of the city and urged the district administration to implement the master-plan to rejuvenate the park.
