BSF picks up two Bangladeshi cattle traders

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up two Bangladeshi cattle traders from Indian territory near Nagarvita border in Thakurgaon on Thursday while the two were returning home. The detainees are Ayub Ali, 36, hailing from Kherbari village, and Kashem Bhuiyan, 40, hailing from Baliadangi upazila. Lt Col Touhidul Islam, commanding officer of Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) 30 Battalion, told The Daily Star that a company commander level flag meeting was held between BSF and BGB on Thursday where BSF informed BGB that the two detainees were handed over to Indian police on charges of illegal intrusion.
