Teacher accuses headmaster of stalking
A female assistant teacher of Belpukur High School in Shajahanpur upazila of Bogra has accused its headmaster of stalking.
The teacher submitted a written allegation in this regard to the upazila administration on Monday.
She alleged that ever since she joined Belpukur High School in 2004, its headmaster Abdul Wadud has been stalking her and giving her illicit proposals.
Getting denied his wishes, he also threatened to terminate her from her job on December 11, she alleged.
The victim filed a general diary (GD) with Shajahanpur Police Station in this connection.
Meanwhile, students, guardians and locals staged a sit-in on the school premises on Thursday, demanding exemplary punishment of the headmaster.
Contacted, Abdul Wadud denied the allegations, terming himself a victim of conspiracy by the teacher concerned.
Upazila Education Officer Shahadat Hossen Pramanik said he has received the teacher's allegation and departmental steps will be taken on the matter after investigation.
The School Managing Committee President Nasir Uddin Bablu said a one-member investigation committee will investigate and report on the matter within three days.
