Woman dies as train hits her
A woman was killed when a train hit her in the capital's Shyampur yesterday.
The dead was Roksana Begum, 45, wife of Sajal Miah, of Boroitola slum in the area.
Quoting victim's neighbour, Jahirul Islam, police said Roksana was talking with a man standing on the rail tracks near her residence around 2:30pm. As a Kamalapur-bound train was approaching, the man managed to get off the tracks but she could not.
She died in Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
