Jubo Dal leader shot dead
A local Jubo Dal leader was shot dead by unidentified miscreants at Char Dorbesh in Sonagazi upazila of Feni on Thursday night.
The deceased was Abdur Rahman alias Sandhipi Manik, 45. He was the president of Char Dorbesh unit of Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal.
Quoting locals, Nabir Hossain, officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonagazi Police Station, said a gang of 15-20 criminals picked up Abdur Rahman from the southern side of Char Dorbesh around 9:30pm on Thursday.
They took him to adjoining Char Namar and hacked him and shot him several times, the OC qouted.
The miscreants later dumped the body in front of one Fakir Bepari's house in the area, he added.
Police sent the body to Feni Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The OC said there were several cases filed with Sonagazi Police Station against Abdur Rahman for murder, robbery and extortions.
