Jubo Dal enforces 8-hr hartal today
Jubo Dal, youth wing of main opposition party BNP, has called an 8-hour hartal today in the eight districts under Rangpur Division.
Demanding immediate withdrawal of all 'false' cases against its central leaders including acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and their release, they will enforce it from 6.00 in the morning.
Rangpur divisional unit Jubo Dal earlier announced the programme on January 2 at a press conference at its party office at Grand Hotel intersection.
The party will also observe the hartal in protest against the killings and arrests of opposition leaders and activists, price hike of essentials, electricity, fuel, violence at educational institutions, corruption and to press for restoration of the caretaker government.
Chhatra Dal and Swechhasebok Dal of Rangpur divisional unit extended their support to the hartal.
