Girl stabbed in capital
An eight-year-old girl was stabbed allegedly by one of her neighbors in Kamrangirchar area of the capital yesterday.
The victim was Sathi Akter, daughter of Arju Miah, and a student of Class-I at Matbarbazar Primary School in the area.
She is undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Diseases of Chest and Hospital. Earlier, she was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Sathi's mother Taslima Begum said she came out of their house after hearing screams of her daughter around 6:30pm, and found her lying on the ground. A knife was found pushed in her back.
