Robbery in guise of policemen
Robbers looted cash and good ornaments worth about Tk15 lakh from a house at Panishail village in Shingair upazila early Friday.
Locals said a gang of 20-25 robbers in the guise of police entered the house of one Abdus Sattar at the village at around 2.00am.
They looted 10 tolas of gold ornaments, Tk 5.5 lakh, 5,000 Saudi riyals and other valuables keeping the members of the house hostage at gunpoint.
The robbers also beat up Abdus Sattar.
