JCD man killed in factional clash
An activist of pro-BNP Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal was killed and five others were injured in an attack allegedly by their rival faction at Golapganj upazila yesterday afternoon.
Following the death, locals blocked Sylhet-Jakiganj road at Boitikor for five hours.
The deceased Jashim Uddin, 28, former vice president of the JCD Fulbari union unit, belonged to the group of Mamun Ahmed Ripon, a leader of the upazila unit.
Around 10 activists of another faction of JCD, and pro-BNP Jubo Dal attacked the Mamun group in Choumuhoni, said police.
