Dipu Moni calls for solidarity
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni has called for greater solidarity in the Muslim Ummah for addressing challenges and utilising opportunities that lie before the Muslim world.
She was speaking at the inaugural session of the ministerial meeting held in the Egyptian capital of Cairo yesterday in preparation of the 12th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Summit beginning there today.
Dipu Moni, in her statement, supported a fully sovereign Palestinian state within its pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, said an official press release.
She articulated on possible ways and means to enhance cooperation among the OIC member states in various areas, particularly in trade, human development and women empowerment.
