19 Rohingyas sent back
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members sent back a total of 19 Rohingyas who were attempting to enter the country through Teknaf in Cox's Bazar yesterday and Wednesday night.
On Wednesday, BGB in a drive sent back 11 Myanmar nationals from Whykang area under Teknaf. Later the border patrolling force sent back three more Rohingyas from the same area, said BGB sources.
Five more Rohingyas were sent back to Myanmar in a boat yesterday morning.
According to BGB statistics a total of 315 Rohingyas have been sent back so far this year while 3,973 Rohingyas were sent back last year.
