Satkhira lawyers demand Hasina's release

Our Correspondent, Satkhira
A total of 139 lawyers of the district judges' court in Satkhira in a statement yesterday demanded release of Awami League (AL) chief and former prime minister Sheikh Hasina before the government proposed dialogue. The proposed dialogue without Hasina will not be meaningful and successful, they said. They said she was detained in 'false and baseless' cases and urged the government to release her. Signatories to the statement include Satkhira Bar president Shah Alam, secretary Yunus Ali and other senior lawyers.
