VDP member takes life in Khagrachhari
A member of Village Defence Party (VDP) allegedly committed suicide at Sobahan Sarder Para village in Matiranga yesterday.
Victim Tazul Islam, 38, took Tk 2 lakh loan from his neighbours in last 10 years to maintain his family. But he failed to repay the money.
'He committed suicide because the money-lenders used to harass him off and on', said his wife Mariam Bibi.
