Drive against sale of carbide-ripened mango

A mobile court in Rajshahi yesterday launched a drive at Nawhata Mango Bazar and realised Tk 20,000 as fine from a businessman for selling carbide mixed mango. The mobile court led by magistrate Sharmin Alam also recovered one kilogram of carbide from the mango shop owned by Shihab Uddin. The mobile team threw two maunds of carbide mixed mango in the Baroin river. Following the drive, many mango traders of Nawhata Bazar closed their business shops and managed to escape.
