Removal of deputy registrar demanded
Students of Northern University English Department here yesterday staged a demonstration and locked the main gate of the department demanding immediate removal of 'corrupt' deputy registrar Mobinul Islam.
Earlier, the students boycotted their classes and examinations to press home their five-point demand.
Other demands included removal of corrupt teachers, reduction of semester fees, provision to show examination scripts to respective students after examinations etc.
Students alleged that the deputy registrar always showed biasness to Jamaat-Shibir cadres.
