EC training for polls aspirants in Sylhet tomorrow
For the first time in the country, the Election Commission is going to hold a day-long training workshop tomorrow in Sylhet for aspirants for posts of ward commissioner and mayor.
Rules of local government election and recent amendments will be discussed at the workshop, Deputy Election Comissioner for Sylhet division, Khondker Mizanur Rahman, told The Daily Star yesterday. Such workshops will also be held in Khulna, Rajshahi, Barisal and Chittagong city corporations.
Chief Elecftion commissioner Dr. ATM Shamsul Huda may be chief guest at the Sylhet workshop.
