Engineer Faruk murder: 4 killer suspects held
Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested four killer suspects of Barisal Pally Biddut Samity assistant engineer SM Faruk Hossain, 35, from Ruptali area here Friday night.
They are Mahorom Howlader, 25, Abdul Jabbar, 28, Mamun Howlader, 23, and Forkan Hossain, 23.
On interrogation, they admitted to their involvement in the killing. They said to Rab that they had gone to the engineer's house to commit robbery at night on June 21. As they entered the house by breaking open the iron-gate, the engineer resisted them. At this stage, they strangled him, they said adding 10 more were involved in the murder.
Later, they looted valuables including TV and computer, they said further.
Hunt is going on for other killers, Rab said.
However, police recovered the body from the house the next day and sent it to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
