Khagrachhari dist judge's court starts functioning
Khagrachhari District and Sessions Judge's Court started functioning yesterday.
Newly-appointed sessions judge Mohammad Mokter Ahmed attended the court with eight other judges.
While exchanging views with local journalists, he said there is still lot of problems including lack of security, accommodation and transportation.
'This is my duty to take care of the court but I need security,' he said. 'The problems should be resolved immediately during the tenure of the caretaker government to ensure legal justice to people,' he said.
Later, he has given a reception by Khagrachhari Bar Association. All documents of Chittagong judge's court were handed over to him at the reception ceremony.
Eight judges are: Joint district and sessions judge Md Abdul Hamid, chief judicial magistrate Abul Bashar Munshi, additional chief judicial magistrate Nitai Chandra Saha, judicial magistrates Md Abu Hanif, Alamgir Mohammad Faruki, Abdullah Al Mamun, Noman Mainuddin and Kazi Mizanur Rahman.
