Srimongal OC, 5 others closed
Srimongal Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Md Asaduzzaman and five others have been closed to Moulvibazar police line on charge of bribery.
Five others are: sub-inspector (SI) Nahid Ahmed, constables Mahmudul Hasan, Md Jasim Uddin, Mainuddin, and police van driver Md Ripon.
All tried to take bribe from some villagers by illegally confining them at police station for two days.
The acting superintendent of police (SP) of Moulvibazar, Md Motiur Rahman, took action against them after unveiling the story on Monday.
