2,000 people most vulnerable in Khagrachhari Sadar

The district administration has made a list of about 2,000 people belonging to 140 families, identifying them as most vulnerable to landslide in Sadar upazila in hill district Khagrachhari. A seven-member committee led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Masud Ahmed started the survey in Khagrachhari district on June 12. Earlier on June 10, The Daily Star ran a report on the people vulnerable to land slides in the district. The survey committee would sit today or tomorrow at the office of ADC (Revenue) for next decision, member secretary of the survey committee, Sadar upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mohammad Kawsar Hossen said.
