One gets life, another 2 yrs RI in Patuakhali
A court in Patuakhali gave life term to one rapist and 12 years' imprisonment to another in two cases.
Judge M M Matin of Women Repression Prevention Court gave life term to Shahin Sikder for raping Rakhain girl Mancha on December 19, 2003 when she was alone at their house. On April 26, 2004, Mancha filed a case with the court.
In another verdict, the judge handed down 12 years' imprisonment to Jahangir, 26 of Baufal upazila district for raping Ruma Begum on the night of November 11, 2006.
